Merry Christmas 2010

We are so grateful for our four children and being able to share the magic of Christmas! The kids have been counting down the days on our Advent calendar and Christmas Eve was finally here. They were so excited and had everything in order for Santa Claus. Above picture of Santa's cookies and milk. We even called the North Pole and talked to one of Santa's elves. The elf told them to get to bed soon because Santa was on his way to Texas! Catherine is so tired in this picture but she did not want to miss any of the excitement.
Eric and I found this note on the mantle after they went to bed. Sarah left her glow sticks from our Christmas Eve service for Santa. So sweet!
The kids were up bright and early but did not wake us. They worked hard in the kitchen making us breakfast! We did not hear them and they surprised us with breakfast in bed!!! Santa brought lots of gifts. Above picture of William with his new Star Wars Light saber. He thinks he is a Jedi now. Catherine did not want to share the candy cane she found!
We have done lots of baking this Christmas. Catherine eating cake batter for the first time. She did not want to share this either! Sarah wanted red cupcakes.
Elizabeth decorating her gingerbread cookies. She has become a great helper in the kitchen. Eric gave us a cooking class for Christmas. hmmmmm
Merry Christmas to all!

O Christmas Tree

We decorated our Christmas tree this evening. The kids always have so much fun going thru the boxes and finding their ornaments. Catherine likes taking the ornaments off the tree. I think we will be finding ornaments around our house months from now!

Advent Festival

This evening the kids enjoyed the Advent Festival at our church. They always do a wonderful job and the kids have so much fun. Above pic of William after he won the candy walk.
Elizabeth holding a sweet bunny at the petting zoo. There were so many adorable little animals. I think they would have stayed there for hours if it wasn't so cold outside.

Christmas Pageant

This morning Sarah and William sang in our church Christmas Pageant. Sarah was an angel and William a donkey. Above pic of William in the tan t-shirt. He had a small part and did great! Elizabeth had a softball tournament this weekend and was not able to perform. :-(

Thanksgiving Feasts

Today the kids had Thanksgiving at school. Standing in line three times was not a good plan so told the kids they could have food from any "drive thru." Their lunch times were longer which made kindergarten start at 10am! Nothing open for lunch at 9:30am so William got breakfast from Chick-fil-A. It was yummy!
The girls got their turkey feasts from Dickey's.

Lunch #3 finished at 2pm. Catherine was a trooper!!!
