USSSA World Series
Elizabeth and her select softball team played in the 18u USSSA World Series this past week. They fought hard and lost a couple of close battles. Finished 9th out of 75 teams.
It was HOT!!
Elizabeth plays shortstop.
Tennis Camp
Catherine had been counting down the days till tennis camp all summer! She was so excited!
She was a good listener and learned a lot from the head coach at the high school.
The high school tennis team also helped.
Catherine could not wait till camp each morning.
We are not sure where this love of tennis is coming from!

Palo Duro Canyon
We broke up the drive home and went to Palo Duro Canyon.
A 3 foot rattlesnake crossed the trail in front of us! Eric did a good job at keeping us calm. So thankful he was leading at the time!
We stayed to watch the Texas 50th anniversary musical. Storms rolled in at the end and we missed seeing the fireworks.
White Water Rafting Day 2
The second day we decided to step it up and do the Rio Grande Racecourse!
It has 2 and 3 class rapids!
Min age limit is 5 so Catherine was able to go too!
They told us Catherine could sit in the middle and hold on to the ropes but she wanted to row!!
Our guide gave Catherine an oar and he sat behind her. She did great!
It was an awesome experience.
The kids will remember this forever!
White Water Rafting Day 1
The first time for all of us to white water raft.
We took it slow the first day and did the easy float down the Rio Grande.
It was so beautiful and relaxing.
The girls got in the cold water and floated down the river.
Our awesome guide had a picnic snack for us at the end.
Taos, New Mexico
We woke the kids up at 4:30am and put them all in the car!
It was a peaceful drive to New Mexico.

We looked forward to our free breakfast buffet each morning at our hotel.

While in Taos, Eric got a text that Elizabeth made a 5 on her AP Human Geography test! This is her reaction when we told her over dinner. She was so surprised!

Hot Springs, Arkansas
Elizabeth drove us to Hot Springs, Arkansas this past week.
We stayed in a nice condo on Lake Hamilton.
USA beats Germany!
Downtown Hot Springs. We enjoyed the bath house tours, shopping and good food!
Enjoyed riding on the Belle of Hot Springs Riverboat.
The weather was nice for hiking!
Saw the sights from the heights up in the Hot Springs Mountain Tower.
Beautiful views and beautiful memories!
