Texas Rangers

Papa Green had a big Texas Rangers Baseball party tonight. He only invited Elizabeth, Sarah, William, Catherine and Great Papa Green. Since Eric and I were not invited we decided to go on a hot date but later crashed the big party!
Nana Green was in charge of getting everyone ready by painting their faces.

Catherine was excited about all the food. She loves pizza!

Everyone was excited about the yummy baseball cake!

Papa had games and tons of prizes. William got lots of baseball cards. It was a happy ending to a fun night. Way to go Rangers!!!

4th Grade Field Trip

Sarah went on a field trip today to the Dallas Museum of Art.
We had a great time and the weather was PERFECT!

Catherine spent the day with Nana and Papa Gammon.

They took her to Braums for a banana split!

School Picture Day

I had to take a quick picture of Sarah this morning. She is having school pictures today and wanted to wear Great Nana Green's beautiful necklace. We can't wait to see it in the yearbook!

21 Months

Special Weekend

I was so excited to see Stacey this weekend. (high school friend) It has been almost two years! She flew in for the weekend to see her new nephew. They are all coming home for Christmas this year. Can't wait to see the whole family!

Meet Cougar

Sarah won a fish at our school Fall Carnival. She is so excited about it! Hopefully it survives the night in this Glad container!

Soccer Saturdays

Saturday was the 1st day of soccer season! We were ready to get back on the soccer fields. Sarah had a rough day and lost 5-6. She scored 1 goal.
William is playing for the Hornets this season. He had a great game and scored 7 of their 8 goals! Unfortunately, that wasn't enough and they lost too 8-10.

Catherine can not wait to get out on that field and play too!

1st Home Run

William hit his 1st home run last night! He is super excited! It was a 3 run home run...almost a grand slam! Everyone was too caught up in all the excitement to think about taking a picture. I did get this picture on my phone of him receiving the game ball. Way to go #22!

Meet The Teacher

Tonight was middle school Meet The Teacher. Elizabeth was not excited when she saw that I brought my camera. But I did manage to get one picture of her English/Advisory teacher. She has lots of young teachers or maybe I am getting old.

A&M vs SMU

We took a little family road trip to College Station over the holiday weekend. The kids love going to Aggieland and Eric loves brainwashing them! Above picture of the kid yell practice before the game. Afterward they got to see the awesome Aggie Band march down the street. Texas A&M is currently ranked #7 in the country so it is crazy down there!
Wearing our new Maroon Out shirts. The kids wanted them clean as soon as we got home so they could wear them to school today.

Catherine did not make it for the entire game and somehow slept during all the excitement!

Raptors Baseball

William and his baseball team made it to the championship in their pre-season tournament and won 1st place last night in extra innings!

Cousin Time!

We were so excited this past weekend to see Uncle Andrew, Aunt Charon, Drew and baby Cooper!

1st Day of School

Yesterday was the 1st day of school and Elizabeth's 1st day of middle school. They all had a great day and talked non-stop all evening! Elizabeth was nervous yesterday morning but ended up meeting new friends, loves all her classes and was very excited to go back this morning.

2nd Place Trophy

Elizabeth and her softball team took 2nd place today in the Beat the Heat Tournament. These girls have been working hard all summer and are getting better at each tournament. Beat the Heat was the perfect name for this tournament! They played five games yesterday in a record high temp of 107! Elizabeth is front row far right. Way to Go Texas Force!

Meet The Teacher

Well...the start of school is getting closer and we saw a little excitement about summer coming to an end when they saw all their friends again this evening. Above picture of William with his 1st grade teacher. Elizabeth and Sarah had the same teacher in 1st grade and we couldn't be more pleased to get her a 3rd time!
Sarah has moved upstairs to 4th grade! This is her homeroom/Reading teacher.

Confirmation

Today was Elizabeth's first day of confirmation. She is looking forward to all the fun activities, meeting new friends and growing closer to God. Eric and I are excited about our new confirmation Sunday School class and getting involved with her in worship, service projects, small groups and retreats. It will be a wonderful spiritual journey for all of us.
It seems like yesterday our baby girl was starting kindergarten with her kissing hand sticker and Darth Vader lunch box that she had to have!

Cub Camp

Elizabeth is about to start middle school! She attended Cub Camp with all the other incoming 6th graders at her new school. We have decided to send her to the same district as Eric. She will be at the middle school that feeds his high school. Eric will be able to take her to school in the morning as they are within walking distance of each other.
She got her class schedule, learned her locker combination and met a few of her teachers. Eric and I walked her schedule with her a couple of times and enjoyed a nice cookout for lunch.

They had a small pep rally with the middle school band and cheerleaders. She was overwhelmed about the whole move but feels better about it all now. Having daddy as her principal in three years will be worth it...so she thinks!! lol

Texas Heat Wave 2011

We are beating the heat with lots of swimming and ice cream. Today was the 34th straight day of 100+ degrees! We beat another record today with a high of 108.
Who needs fruits and veggies? Catherine lives on ice cream and popsicles.

Soaking up the AC with sleepovers, movies and more ice cream! Starting school is not on the radar.
