Mother's Day 2013

 What's better than breakfast in bed on Mother's Day?  Getting four kids out the door by 5:45am for a softball tournament in Duncanville!

 The tournament ended early so we grabbed a bucket of KFC and had a very nice picnic.

 We went to a local park and took a hike.

 It was a beautiful day!

 Eric and William saved us from all the bad guys on the trail.

 Elizabeth and Sarah were troopers!  They have had very little sleep this weekend.

 Last night was the beginning of the onslaught of end of school activities.  We enjoyed listening to Sarah sing.  They did a fabulous job!  It was a bittersweet performance for me.  She has lots of special activities coming up with it being her last year of elementary school!

 So hard to get a family photo.  Catherine wasn't interested!

Doctor Visit

 Catherine got shots this morning.  It wasn't fun but you would never know from this picture.  We celebrated it being "all done" at Braums.

 

She wanted to show you her hurt leg.  She only got two shots but went to bed with five princess band-aids!

Houston, Texas

 Elizabeth hurt her ankle one week before her big tournament in Houston!

 She was so excited to still be able to play but unfortunately her team did not win.  :-(

 Catherine was a little trooper but the late nights and early mornings were more than she could handle.

Taco Casa Kings!  Anytime there is a Taco Casa near a tournament these dads get excited!



Birthday Party

William continued celebrating his birthday this weekend with his grandparents and had his "sports" birthday party.

Happy Birthday

 Yesterday was William's 8th birthday!  We celebrated Friday night with this yummy chocolate cake and eight cherries.

He was excited to get his very own blue basketball!

 We spent his actual birthday in Fort Worth at Elizabeth's softball tournament.  The weather was nice and he had fun hanging with the siblings from her team.

 

We got him his favorite meal in between games....cheese pizza!  He is looking forward to his "real" birthday party next weekend!  Happy Birthday to William!

ICEC Meetings

 Last week we had the best time hanging with our Pittsburgh cousins.  They flew down on their Spring Break to cold rainy Texas!  Here are a few pictures from one of our ICEC (ice cream eaters club) meetings.

William was so excited JP came to his school and ate lunch! 

 There were lots of smiles.

Jered and Piper came over one evening too but I didn't get any pictures.  It was great seeing everyone!



2nd Grade Field Trip

 William spent the day with his class at the Heard Museum.

 They had a fun live animal presentation.  The kids were very excited to touch this snake. 

 We also enjoyed a guided tour where the kids loved hiking and exploring the sanctuary. 

 

Catherine really wanted to use the umbrella but we were thankful we didn't need it!

Happy Easter 2013

The Easter Bunny came to our house last night! 

Big Texas thunderstorms rolled thru this morning but it cleared in time for church. 

 

We enjoyed a nice lunch afterward with all our Nanas and Papas. The kids have enough candy to last till Christmas.  Happy Easter 2013!

Good Friday

The kids made yummy Easter cookies today.  Catherine worked very hard on the three perfect ones up front!

She had flour and frosting EVERYWHERE!

They also colored Easter eggs.

William was excited about his Star Wars eggs.

Hoops For Hope

 Elizabeth got to play in the Hoops for Hope charity game at her school today.  It was students vs. teachers.

 

Her teachers have been talking smack all week.  She was excited to beat them at the buzzer!
