Decades

Elizabeth has been learning about each decade. The 5th graders got to dress up for each decade and do fun activities related to the years they were studying. Here are a few pictures. Above picture is the 1920's.
1950's

1970's. My mom still has her pantsuits! Hahahahahahaha!!!

Today is my favorite...1980's!! I still have my Van Halen shirt from Steve. Love the big hair! She slept in sponge rollers last night. lol. They had some great music playing when I took them to school this morning. I may have to get out my Totally 80's cds this afternoon. :-)

Memorial Day

We put flowers at the Veterans Memorial yesterday in honor of Great Papa Davis. Thank you Great Papa. We miss you.

Kindergarten Celebration

This morning we celebrated William's graduation to 1st Grade! Eric took off work and met me at school. William is front row in purple. I drew an arrow. They did a great job but it was a little emotional. You would think I could be a little tougher with it being the 3rd one!

Camp Cougar

Sarah has had a fun week at Camp Cougar! The 3rd graders go to camp at school. They usually put tents outside but it is too muddy from all the rain. They still had a great time. Above picture of Sarah and her group. They traveled together to lots of fun stations.
Above is Sarah and her group on stage performing their skit. All the kids did a great job and had everyone laughing!

Sarah's favorite station was tie dying. I enjoyed being a station leader for the camp and had a great time with all the kids. Although, after working the obstacle course I've realized how old I am. I don't run, hula hoop and jump rope quite as fast as I used to!

Spring Recital

Sarah did a wonderful job last night in the children's program at our church. Sarah is back row with her hair in a "princess" bun.
After the program.Sarah was excited that Nana and Papa Gammon came to watch. Catherine was excited to see Papa! She loves Papa (and his iPhone).

Dramapalooza

Four grades (including William and Sarah) from our school took a field trip today to the high school to see the play Dramapalooza. William was excited to have mommy go and ride on the bus with him!
Sarah is getting to the age that it is okay for mommy to go but would rather hang with her friends. :-( Above picture of Sarah and her BFF.

Alpha Awards Night

Last night we celebrated Elizabeth at the Gifted and Talented Awards Ceremony for our entire school district. She looked so beautiful and wore Great Nana Green's necklace.

When All Is Quiet

First I find piles of Kleenex... then I follow a trail of Kleenex...

and find a very busy toddler. Kleenex everywhere. Worth every penny.

5th Grade Track Meet

Elizabeth participated in her 1st track meet today with several other schools in our district. She got 1st place in the softball throw and 2nd place in the 200m dash! Way to Go, Bizza!

5th Grade Choir Concert

Elizabeth did a great job singing last night! It is hard to believe it is already time for end of year programs. This school year has flown by so fast!!

Kindergarten Field Trip

William had so much fun today on his field trip to the Dallas World Aquarium. His favorite things were the penguins, jaguar, and watching the sharks during feeding time. He also loved riding on the school bus! We made some wonderful memories today. I had to keep up with three very excited kindergarten boys so will sleep good tonight!

Happy Easter

OkieFest 2011! We had a nice Easter weekend visiting with my mom's side of the family.
My mom had a million eggs for the kids to hunt. Catherine figured out where to get the candy. She is still saying..."eggs...eggs...eggs!"

William looked so handsome in his first "real" tie. No more clip-ons for this big boy!

Easter Egg Hunt

Catherine went on her 1st Easter Egg Hunt this evening at Eric's high school. The weather did not cooperate so they had to move it inside. She did a great job with help from her two big sisters.

Palm Sunday

We hope everyone has a very Blessed Holy Week! Catherine is still in her pajamas because she had 103.2 fever last night. Thankfully, her temperature is not as high today.Sarah sang for three of the services this morning and did a great job. She is 2nd row middle with white sweater.

Sarah's Soccer Team

William's Birthday

Yesterday was William's birthday. He is 6 years old!! I brought him Sonic for lunch with a Dr Pepper. He was so excited and talked 90mph the entire lunch. We let him pick three friends to come home from school with us. They had so much fun playing Star Wars in the backyard until Eric could get off work. We took them to GattiTown for dinner, rides and games.
