Family Reunion 2014

This summer we had a Green Family Reunion on St. Simon's Island to celebrate the life of Great Grandpa Green.  Above picture was taken at the lovely reception dinner at the King and Prince Resort.
We have 1,000 pictures from our trip so I've tried to only put a couple from each day.  The girls took 100 pictures out the window of the plane.  They were excited to fly!
Elizabeth in New Orleans during our short layover.
Papa and Nana on the plane.  They travel a lot so it was wonderful to have their help!
We drove from Orlando to St. Simon's Island.  All four kids fell asleep in the car!
The first day we walked along the village and pier.
The kids could not wait to get on the beach and build a sandcastle.  Above picture of William trying to protect the castle from the tide.
Uncle Andrew and family arrived on day two.  Catherine was so excited to play with Cousin Drew.
We spent day three on Jekyll Island.
The kids enjoyed shopping for souvenirs and loved this Sweet Shoppe.
The California and Pennsylvania cousins arrived on day four.
The kids had fun going to the top of the St. Simon's lighthouse.
Day six was spent at Fort Frederica.  They worked together and received their Jr Ranger badges.
We celebrated Eric and Cooper's birthdays.  They both share a birthday this month.
All the beautiful girls!  We enjoyed many good meals together.
 And lots of ICEC!
The Maryland Greens arrived the evening of day six.  Above picture of Cousin Dan secretly wanting to be a Cowboys fan!
Last time together on the beach.
The last day we had a beautiful memorial for Great Grandpa.  Above picture of his great grandchildren.

After eight days we drove back to Orlando to catch our flight home.  Adam and family met us by the airport for lunch.  It was so nice to see them.  Wish they still lived in Texas!
There were storms in Florida and our flight had a weather delay.  Catherine was still the best kid on the plane.  She is a great traveler!
