Green Family Vacation 2013

We traveled 2,943 miles to Washington D.C. over the past two weeks.  It was an awesome vacation with over 2,000 pictures counting all of our devices.  Above picture of the Mississippi River in Memphis, Tennessee.
 The King of Rock-n-Roll
My friend, Karen, drove up from Alabama to meet us for dinner at a Cracker Barrel.  Karen and I worked together years ago.  It was so wonderful to see her!
We spent our first night with my dear high school friend, Stacey, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  I was so excited to see her beautiful home and all her kiddos.
We enjoyed downtown Chattanooga.  Above picture of us crossing the bridge over the Tennessee River.
The second day we drove to Kernersville, North Carolina and stayed with my bff, Hilary.  We enjoyed our short time together.  I wish she didn't live so far away.

The kids had fun swimming in her community pool.

Great Papa Green

The kids spent time with Great Papa this morning.  They told him all about their end of school activities.  We look forward to spending more time with him this summer.

5th Grade Graduation

Sarah graduated from elementary school and is ready to move on to middle school!
We were very proud of her for being selected to give the 5th grade speech.  She did a great job telling her favorite memory from each grade.
Walking the stage and shaking hands with her principal.

 Her 5th grade teacher.
The 5th grade had a big week with lots of special activities.  Above picture of the 5th grade breakfast.
Sarah was chosen to be on the 1980's dance team.  This was part of their Decades unit.  She had so much fun learning the dance to Thriller and performing several times at school.

Perot Museum

Today the entire 7th grade at Elizabeth's school (7 buses!) went on a field trip to the new Perot Museum of Nature and Science in downtown Dallas.  It is a beautiful museum with so much to see and do.  Our group started on the 4th floor and only had time to see half the museum.  Above picture of Elizabeth and her classmates about to experience an earthquake.
